1971 LP US original first pressing. Cover is very nice, vinyl is super clean and glossy. A nominally perfect record that will present beautifully, play and sound superb. Featuring the socially conscious title track "What's Going On," along with "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" and "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)," the album includes several of Gaye's most enduring songs. Considered a landmark in soul music, it marked a shift towards more socially aware themes in Marvin Gaye's work and popular music at large.
