Featuring tracks such as "Party of Special Things to Do" and "Bellerin' Plain," the album did not achieve significant commercial chart success. Bluejeans & Moonbeams is noted for its softer, more accessible sound compared to Captain Beefheart's earlier, more avant-garde work.
