Featuring hits like "Cherish," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Fresh," the album showcases Kool & The Gang's polished 80s sound. "Emergency" was produced by the band alongside Eumir Deodato and marked a continuation of their successful run through the early 1980s.
